THE MULLEIN.GÜLAY KAHRAMAN YUVA İMAM HATİP SECONDARY SCHOOL


The mullein (Sığır Kuyruğu with its Turkish name) is a species which is native to Europe,Northern Africa and Asia.It is a hairy plant that can grow to 2 m tall or more.It has a tall stem and on it there are amall,yellow flowers. It grows in different habitats and soils.

On the other hand,it is a small problem for the agriculture. Especially,it can host many insects which are harmful for the products.It is used in medicine,dyes and torches. As for climate,it likes winter a lot. The seeds of the mullein maintain its powers for decades, up to a hundred years. The mullein is commonly found in many parts of Antalya.
